Peter Thompson

Managing Director/Executive Chairman


Mr Thompson is a CPA qualified accountant and Fellow of Chartered Secretaries Australia with more than 30 years’ experience in the mining industry both  in Australia and internationally.


Mr Thompson has held senior executive roles with a number of major   mining companies including Mt Edon Gold Mines, MIM Holdings Ltd and Xstrata Plc.


Since 2000, Mr Thompson has been involved in the development of various infrastructure projects, including mine and refinery expansions and establishment of infrastructure including roads, rail, port and power utilities.


Mr Thompson was previously a director of Western Australian iron ore producer Golden West Resources Limited and Queensland based mining and civil contractor JJ McDonald & Sons Group.


Mr Thompson has held no other directorships of listed companies in the last 3 years.



Neil Norris

Exploration Director - Executive


Mr Norris is a geologist with over 25 years’ experience in the resource industry in Australia and internationally.


Most recently he was Group Exploration Manager for Perseverance Corporation Limited and spent over ten years with Newmont Australia Limited holding senior executive positions in both the mining and exploration area. One of  Neil’s key achievements during his career  was the development of the geological models which contributed to the discovery of the Phoenix ore body at Fosterville, owned by TSX listed Crocodile Gold. Mr Norris was also involved in the discovery of Newcrest Mining’s world class Cadia and Ridgeway gold-copper Deposit in Australia.


Mr Norris has a solid track record in successful identification of mineral deposits and his experience will significant advance GBM's exploration efforts.


Mr Norris has held no other directorships of listed companies in the last 3 years.



Hung Seng Tan

Non - Executive Director


Mr Tan has over 30 years' experience in the process engineering sector both in China and Singapore. He was founder of BMS Technology PL, a manufacturer for the hard disk industry in Singapore and China. Mr Tan led BMS Technology in a successful merger and later 100% acquisition of that company by Nidec Corporation of Japan which is listed on both New York and Tokyo stock excharges.

Mr Tan holds a Master of Business Administration from University of Hull, United Kingdom and obteined his Advanced Diploma in Management Study and Production Engineering. Mr Tan has a proven track record in business development and extensive business relations in China and the Asia capital markets.

• Gold resource increased by 77% to 0.9Mt averaging 2.2 g/t Au containing an estimated 66,000 ounces of gold.
• Potential exists to extend the Glen Eva Resource along strike and down dip.
• Significant grade zones, including:
o 24.8m @ 6.2 g/t Au from 100m and

Mount Coolon Gold Project:

Koala Gold deposit:
• Stage 1 of drilling programme has been completed at the Koala Gold Mine with 23 diamond holes drilled for a total of 1,303 metres
• Results have confirmed the presence of remnant high-grade gold mineralisation in quartz vein and breccia style settings throughout the old stope areas tested.
• The Company has commenced Stage 2 drilling in January 2017 and the program forms part of the Study to evaluate recommencement of mining operations at the Koala Gold Mine.

Eugenia Gold Deposit:
• Publication of Eugenia Heap Leach Scoping Study showing potential
economic viability.
• Recovered gold ounces total 32,588 at a C1 cost of $813 per ounce,
capital estimated at $8.3 million.
• Free cashflow generated will be allocated to accelerate expanding
the known open pit resources and the mineralising systems with the
aim to build the Mt Coolon Gold Project inventory to a level that will
support the commissioning of a CIL plant.
